Yup, its nice, and the easiest thing in the world to make...
peel a bunch o ginger, and cut into pieces about 4mm thick, drop them in a pan of water and bring to a simmer, after half an hour or so add sugar (also you can change the water before adding the sugar if you dont want it to be too spicy, though why anyone would want less spicy ginger is beyond me). anyway, leave simmering for one to two hours... place on baking paper and sprinkle with salt. later put in the oven at a low temp for half an hour if its too sticky.
