Well, its a mess. barcelona en comu (adas party) won 10 seats the ERC (leftwing catalan rupublicans) won 10 PSC WON 8 Manuel Valls (ciudadanos) won 6 JuntsxCatalunya won 5 PP won 2 and three were won by independants.
a majority of 21 seats is needed to set up shop,soooo... they have to find a coalition, but apart from the usual divides between personalities and left/right/center and conservative/progressive, there is the huge Independance issue, where the ERC and particularly Juntsxcatalunya are concerned with pushing this issue to the front of their mandate, the other parties have no interest in independence.
Ada is indeed a force for good in politics, and despite the shortcomings during her time in office (which can be explained, and were never entirely the fault of her party, just politics) It would be great if she were able to continue her agenda in Barcelona.
